New WOTUS Rule Proposed - GCSAA Government Affairs Update

 The EPA and the Army Corps of Engineers recently unveiled a new version of the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule. This action was the much anticipated "Part 2" of a two step process that began nearly two years ago. Part 1 was the repeal of the 2015 rule, a rule that was strongly opposed by the golf industry. While final details of the new rule won't be known until it is officially placed in the Federal Register, we are studying aspects of the new rule now and will be drafting official comments on behalf of the golf industry to submit to the EPA docket at the appropriate time.
